Recent Baggage System Projects:-
Building 139 Expansion of the existing Baggage Transfer Facility to allow the decant of the Heathrow Terminal 3 transfer baggage operation as well as accommodating additional airlines under the Heathrow Airline Moves Program.
T3 Integrated Baggage Facility – Projected Value £250million
MM produced the concepts for relocating the entire T3 Baggage Hall into a single facility to allow all of terminal 3’s baggage product to be dealt with in a single location.
The project allows for extensive future space for the expansion of the security search areas and Retail space.
MM have taken the scheme from inception through to Options decision, with interfaces with the airline community, and the internal BAA stakeholders
Hong Kong Airport
Working with Arup MM designed major modifications to the existing baggage facility in Hong Kong, Involving the expansion of the transfer facility, including new HBS configuration, expanded early bag store, relocation of Out Of Gauage Facilities, relocation and reconfiguration of HBS systems and improvement of make up facilities.
Dublin Airport Terminal 2
MM were involved in the baggage system design working along side Arup for Dublins new facility, our main role aswell as aiding and being consulted on the overall baggage system was to produce a 3D digital model for space planning purposes and to collaborate with the architects and structural engineers models.
Zanzibar Airport
Working for the Zanzibar Government, we prepared concept designs for both departure and arrivals baggage systems to be integrated into the existing airport terminal building.
